Consultancy to Implement Market Ready Standards, Treasure Beach Compliance

Provided business development services to IDB’s Compete Caribbean programme, working with community tourism entities in the Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth area in Jamaica.

Treasure Beach Farm

The objective of the consultancy was to provide support, advice and guidance to the members of the Treasure Beach tourism cluster in formalizing their businesses with the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo).

Key activities included understanding the TPDCo requirements and process for formalization; serving as a key resource for the cluster members; and working collaboratively with cluster members to understand their constraints and impediments to formalizing their business with TPDCo and the Jamaica Tourist Board.

A key component of the consultancy was to clarify, guide, support, negotiate and advocate for cluster members with the relevant authorities to encourage and facilitate compliance.
